VMA Board members, along with other VMA members, gathered in Richmond to discuss the increasingly strong health of the VMA and continue to put plans in place for our 100th Anniversary year.
We received local legislative updates from our Lobbyist, Dale Bennett and national legislative updates from United Motorcoach Association's Vice President, Legislative & Regulatory Affairs & Industry Relations/COO, Ken Presley.
Inspired and with appointments in place the group headed to the state capitol for meet and greets with state delegates and senators.Delegate John Avoli, 20th District generously joined us for our reception and to get to better know members of his home district from Quicks Bus Company.
We also want to offer our thanks to our dinner sponsor, Tom Holden of Transportation Advisors.
Overall, it was a great start to our newly reformed Legislative Meetings. Thank you all for your dedication to VMA and our Virginia travel and tour industry in general!
We hope you will join us for VMA's 2024 Legislative Meeting & Hill Visit.

BE IN THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS!Join VMA and our Lobbyist P. Dale Barrett, to help us share your story, your priorities and your voice to the Virginia motorcoach industry. Dale holds long term connections on The Hill and has served with the Virginia Trucking Association for years. Not sure what to say once you've got their attention? Monday will include a "primer" to help you with your message. We want you to tell your story, but we will give you state talking points. Come for education, networking and most importantly, help us build VMA's connections with those who represent us in Virginia. |
